'These are without doubt the most comfortable ear pieces I have ever worn.' Laurence Aldridge, Roving Crows' drummer, percussionist and vocalist told us. 'The material doesn't seem to cause the same level of moisture inside the ear [as other in-ear-monitors] and I have had zero skin irritation.'
'I don't need to fiddle with them on stage! They sit in place song after song. Occlusion is better than standard ear pieces and the sound quality is absolutely spot on. They are excellent for recording, especially at the moment when we are doing everything from our homes. I have been working in a small room and my studio headphones were not removing enough noise for me to hear the track clearly. Put my gig earpieces in and hey presto. A hundred fold increase (and I was cooler without big over ear earphones on).
'It's so good that there is now an moulded option within the budget of people who are not earning lots of money - it is so important to have clear monitoring and even more important to protect your hearing (perhaps especially for drummers!). The Roving Crows are “Genuinely the next big thing on the folk scene” according to Andy O’Hare at the BBC. The band were created in 2009 by Barrett and O'Neill and have released three albums, ‘Bacchanalia’ 2012, ‘Deliberate Distractions’ 2013 and the latest, ‘Bury Me Naked’ which was released in Spring 2017. They consist of Paul O’Neill – Vocals / Acoustic Guitar, Caitlin Barrett – Fiddle / Vocals, Jim Smith – Bass Guitar / Vocals, Laurence Aldridge – Drums / Percussion / Vocals.
